Happy Birthday Oddworld Forums!

May 2002 marks the 2nd Birthday of Oddworld Forums! The forums have been in existence for two years.

The forums begun as a humble sanctuary on EZboard that were lucky to receive one post per week. The original design was a bright orange background with brown tables and a logo in which most Oddworldian wildlife had a place. Then we changed to a white background with pink tables and a pink logo that was decorated with BigBro Slig concept art. We changed it to shades of blue with a logo featuring Abe, then onto a grey background with honey-themed tables. We then moved onto a Munch theme (which can still be seen at the EZboard) before implementing the current theme.

I wish I'd kept the earlier logos, but here are the ones that have been saved:

It's quite an accomplishment to have founded what has become such an active and close-knit community, still going strong after two years.

Happy Birthday! *is chuffed at being the most senior member to have replied in this topic so far (except for Sydney)...*

I joined about just before Christmas 2000, so nearly a year and a half ago... That means I've been here for about three quarters of the forums' existence... I'm practically an Old Man here...

Just think... When I joined here, I was only 15...

EDIT: Damn you, Eddie, for replying while I was typing... I can't actually remember which of us joined first, but the uncertainty makes me less smug...

I started visiting this place since august, 2000, but I only joined in December. 2000. My first topic was about Hand of Odd. Some of the most active members then where Grid the Slig, Elum, Glukkon Daniel, Bluehaired Sista(Pink)...

I think I joined around the same time as Eddie. Although I lurked a lot after joining, so I think I registered first, but he posted first.

I'm sure you joined earlier than that, Danny. I remember seeing some of your posts when I was still a lurker (I lurked a lot before registering, as well).

2 years....by that time i had already lost my brain! lol I myself am a little under 1 year! I started a whole load of forums! My own, Harry Potter ones, Final Fantasy.....they all crumbled away and got emolished or I couldn't b asked to post any more. But Oddworld forums was the foums I can go to without being bored. lol!!!! Thi place is the best ever!! Happy Birthday forumers! And congrats sydney and abe's fantastic babe for being the oldest forumers I know *gets out 2 rocking chairs and a retirement slip for sydney and abebabe* I think you'll be needing thse now! *grins* yay....are we having a party????? *throws a great party with a swimming pool and food and prezzies and...........* And a suprise in each box *gives out presents to al the forumers over 1 second old!* lol....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
