Does it have to be a show? If not, then I say Royal Tenenbaums.

I'd rather eat shit than watch Red Dwarf.

I like Malcolm in the Middle. Also don't mind old comedies like Only Fools and Royle Family.

It's a good thread, obiously copied from the cartoon thread but hey.

Everytime he posts he adds about 10 seconds to the page loading time, so as long as he dosen't post here much it's cool.

Mitchell and Webb are among my favorites. I especially liked Peep Show.

Blackadder's great, as is Only Fools, Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, anything with Vic Reeves, Armstrong and Miller, Flight of the Conchords, Rab C Nesbitt, Father Ted, Have I Got News For You, Live at the Apollo, and many other shows which I believe I may as well not name, as this list is shaping up to be pretty long.

And My Family is an unfunny piece of shit. At least one of the actors has stepped up from that and entered adverts instead. That's much better than acting for My Family.

EDIT: I also forgot QI and the recent Kingdom. Stephen Fry is always good for a laugh, as is Jack Dee who acted in an episode of Kingdom with Fry.

Frasier is my favourite Sitcom. It was a witty show of good quality yet also managed to pull off emotion and drama often for whole scenes without a single joke. It was a very unusual sitcom.

Blackadder is an obvious classic. The Inbetweeners is a brilliant sitcom. It is remarkably realistic and for that reason, it is like watching a TV show where somebody has filmed you out with your mates. It's like The Office (You know, the good, British version) but for teenagers.

Top Gear is an awesome comedy show as well. Although it's format is a motoring show, it isn't really anything to do with cars. The show is brilliant because of the chemistry between Jeremy Clarkson, Hamster and James May.
The show is like watching a lad's nights out, and it is easy to believe that this could be you with your mates if you were given a quarter of a million pound super car each to do whatever you please for a day.

The pinnacle of comedy films, in my opinion, is Shaun of the Dead. Rather than go for low, childish humour like so many comedy films do these days, they went for a realistic movie in which the characters are trying to make each other laugh. It is again that situation where you can imagine that you're watching a documentary when you're out with your mates, but zombies attack.

All of the best comedy films have had characters that we can all relate to, in unusual circumstances. This has what makes them the "classics" they turned out to be.

Comedy Films such as The Hangover tried to do this, by not casting big stars to make it a movie about the average American Joe, as though you could be that character... but that moronic bloke stopped the film from achieving this.

When they completely ruined Sir Steve Redgraves garden without his knowledge? Yes. It was hilarious. I don't know what all the fuss and controversy was about though, even though Redgrave didn't know about it himself and was furious when he found out, his wife had given them permission to film it and she even watched as they destroyed the place...

I almost asked that myself, but replace "real" with "live action", and it sounds much better.

You don't like Rushmore? You crazy, dogg.

I have enjoyed all of Wes Anderson's films, but Royal Tenenbaums was definitely my favorite.

I really liked old Gert She's the typical working class Manc woman.

Whereas Anthony LaPagia's accent for Simon was criticised for being cockney and not Mancunian, Daphne's accent herself was not that of a someone who grew up in Manchester.

But at least it wasn't blatantly non-mancunian, Simon's was utter wank.

Also when Niles and Daphne got engaged/going out, I thought it the quality dipped slightly.

I'd say it managed to last a couple more seasons before the quality dipped. Season 10 it started to strain. Old jokes and plots from the Cheers episodes were being reused and celebrity guest stars seemed to keep popping up to try and salvage the show.

I'd still, more than anything, love for them to do a Christmas reunion episode. Did you see the Dr Pepper advert Kelsey did in September?

It shows he can still play Frasier and clearly has an interest in the character enough to return to him after four years. I'd like to see a Christmas special.

Demetri martin. I prefer his stand up specials but his own series is alright too.

Daily Show and Colbert Report.

I also like the stand up of Lewis Black, Kathy Grifin, Eddie Izzard, and Gilbert Godfried.

1 million dollars an episode is an insane amount of money, though he is good in them.

Anyway, Comedy What Good: Monty Python TV series & movies, Fawlty Towers, 4-5 of Palin & Jones' Ripping Yarns, Blackadder, My Hero before Ardal O'Hanlon left, Father Ted, bits of Vicar Of Dibley, most of Fools & Horses, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy (I like the film...), Open All Hours, Two Ronnies, bits of Porridge, HIGNFY, QI, Mock The Week, Shooting Stars, Kingdom, Doc Martin (last 2 are more comedy dramas), Live At The Apollo depending on the acts, sometimes Mumbai Calling (can be a bit hit & miss), Little Britain's first series and bits of the 2nd, Rock Profile, sometimes Mr Bean, French & Saunders, Futurama, early Family Guy, early Simpsons, Harry Enfield & Chums/Harry and Paul, and the English version of The Office.

Comedy What Bad: My Family (Original & relaunch), Krod Mandoon, Little Britain's 3rd series onwards, The Office: An American Workplace, The Good Life, most of The Thin Blue Line (very hit & miss), American Dad, any Simpsons since 2004, any Family Guy since relaunch.

As you can see I like my comedy programs.
