madders right, OWI is small right now and they can't handle 2 buisnesses at once. So as they are doing movies now (Lorne's first love) I guess if we want to see games on oddworld again soon it has to be done by someone else then OWI
Lionhead sounds cool but I'm not sure such a big company would agree to take two guys from the "outside" to direct a new project. But if they agree it would be awesome.
As for Pandemic I don't know, they sound nice, but I never played any of their games. Plus TBBOFK is supposed to be much much more then a simply war/fight game. I've got the impression that the Pandemic games aren't as deep as the Oddworld ones.
My suggestion would be to ask Head First Studios, they are the ones who made "Call of Cthulhu, dark corners of the earth" and they realy succeeded to understand what the books were carrying as message and implented it in the game very well:
