I mean wow what a sad name. Revolution would've been better. But then again all console making companies put big words that sound good in the name like: Revolution, Portable, 360, Mega, Ultra, Super.

So if Nintendo ran out of ideas they could just get an old Super Nintendo and change its name to Ultra Nintendo and everyone would buy it even though it's the same thing.

well, I'm already use to the name, it's grown on me. there have been people who had tried to sign an online petition to have them change the name back, but I'll quote Tim Buckley again because he says what I say, and I'm to lazy to write it.

Personally the name has grown on me. Visually I like it. I haven't actually had to say "Nintendo Wii" out loud in conversation yet, so we'll see how that goes. But when it comes down to it, what the hell do I care what they name their system? I just want to play the video games.

Is he some kind of moron? Online petitions do change things. One modern example is the new Heroes of Might and Magic game, which was going to be another copy of the exact same game with the exact same gameplay. A petition changed that.

Personally, I can see a lot of people really liking the Wii. I reckon it'll be more of a good move by Nintendo instead of a bad one. The name might be stupid but a lot of people thought the name Xbox was stupid when it was first released.

The name Wii seems normal to me now, it's just about as strange as 64, and Cyber-Slig, you can go suck balls. Nintendo hasn't marked their grave. The reason the controller is like that is because they want to expand the game playing population, some people are hesitant to pick up a game controller since it takes 2 hands and very nimble fingers. But anyone will pick up a tv remote (except the Amish) and it will introduce gameplay for novice players, and add a new challenge for the veteran players. If you guys are so closed minded to change, I say you are all owned by Microsoft or Sony
