About the portal, I don't really mind it. I'm sure it won't be too bad, considering how great everything else looks already.
It's really amazing how much it looks just like the original, and how the newly added content blends in so well. Cannot wait to play!

Not judging from the Paramonian Temple gameplay. Seems to show up when Abe chants.

Not that I agree they need to be ironed out but, at this stage, I don't think you're going to see any big art changes really.

Okay, Even i'm wondering what happened to the portal. I can't honestly tell what it's meant to be. :/

Aside from that, I like the effect on Abe's Chanting. Makes it look like a more powerful...power.

Also is it just me, or does TOGG and the Oddworld Library take forever to load?

No, it isn't the fact that some things have been changed, it's the fact that some things have been changed for the worst. I can deal with it, it just begs the question as to why they did certain things. Like, I'm pretty sure the only reason they're still using that logo is because they're all to scared to tell Lorne it sucks.

Like, I'm not so hot about Steam Zones outside Rupture Farms but it would be silly to think that the majority of new players will share my nitpik.

Maybe, I thought that initially but I couldn't really see a difference with Steam Zones in RuptureFarms. But, tbh, I'm only basing that off one screenshot. It could be a bit more clear in the actual game.

I hope the devs make some sort of making of video with this game. I like it when they show off the old vs the new stuff and explain why they changed it. For most of the time there are good reasons why they changed certain things. But some other developers that I've seen tend to just say "we changed it cuz it looked cool"

But I'm sure there are good reasons why. Just gotta wait and see the end product.

To be fair in the new screenshot you have the chanting and the door that are producing light and thus changing the mood of the place. A comparison where those effects are not present would be more accurate.

No normal person will see the logo more than 1 minute when they play the game! That whole logo thread is a JOKE!

It's a JOKE! Who is a real artist and can really complain about it?
It's made up stuff, really stupid, to be honest, for example this stupid "the glukkons neck is wrong" thing. Who saw that? Who cares? Most of you wouldn't have even noticed if that thread would not exist. Be honest, how long do you see a games logo in general? At the start of the game? The intro, maybe the credits. That`s it. Oh, and it would also be on the box, but as most people should know, there will be no physical copies. What? that's new to you? It's not that it hadn't been stated about 30 times already. -.-

Nep actually has valid points in his logo criticisms, even if we're all sick of him bringing it up. The logo is an important part of your brand. Was the thread necessary? No. Can I understand why people would want to pick at it? No. Did they make valid points? Yes.

I think we've been doing a fairly decent job lately of steering the hate-train in positive direction. There are still a few people, notably Varrok and Nep, who are pretty negative about everything, but other than that most people are accepting that NNT isn't goingto be perfect.

Also, it has to be said that most of the thread was fairly tame and constructive, and some of the things that we mentioned about the logo changed. People from JAW do read some of this.

I think now when I look at the logo, I feel it looks more acceptable, and not that bad at all.

Before, when we were all complaining about the logo, we had only seen the pre-alpha/early beta footage and screenshots. The logo is very simple, and if you slapped it on the alpha footage, it just looked cheap. But now if you have it slapped on the latest footage and screenshots, it somehow looks better, because the attention is on the actual footage, and not the logo, and the logo is now not a piece of art, but a simple piece of branding, and allows us to focus on how bloody awesome the in game stuff looks.
